Designed specifically for dairy farms
The BlackBoot Dairy Farm Post (YS15-4) is the dairy-specific model in the BlackBoot range, optimised for electric fence lines rather than wire netting. Its 4 pre-punched holes are positioned for common dairy fence heights, making it ideal for single- and multi-strand electric fencing across paddocks and temporary divisions.
Unlike the BlackBoot Multipurpose Post (6ft with 47 holes), which is designed to take sheep wire, horse wire or barbed wire, the dairy farm post focuses on clean, minimal wire runs with insulators placed exactly where they are needed. Where required, fence wire or tape can still be attached at any point along the post using suitable clips, insulators or tying wire.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a post driver to install it?
No, it can be driven using hand tools. This makes it a practical option for farmers who want a straightforward installation without specialist equipment.
What makes the 4-hole design useful?
The 4-hole layout gives you flexibility when setting wire heights, so you can suit different stock types and fencing setups more easily. That makes it a versatile choice for dairy farms, paddocks and general electric fencing work.
Can they easily be removed?
Yes, they can be removed using a post lifter tool and reused again. This is especially useful on rented ground, where you may not want to invest heavily in permanent fencing if there is a risk of losing access.
